Stars Internship Program

Building Future Leaders in Behavioral Health and Healthcare Administration

The Purpose of the Internship Program:

Our internship program introduces high school students to behavioral health and healthcare administration while equipping them with professional skills for future career success.

Program Structure:

Orientation & Training

  • Introduction to Stars Therapy Services and company policies.
  • Overview of ABA therapy and its impact.
  • Training in confidentiality, professionalism, and workplace etiquette.

Behavioral Therapy Observation

  • Shadowing therapists during sessions.
  • Assisting with therapy-related activities.
  • Understanding the basics of behavioral interventions.

Administrative Support & HR Exposure

  • Assisting with clerical and data entry tasks.

Community Engagement & Professional Development

  • Resume building and career coaching sessions.

Capstone Project & Presentation

  • Interns will complete a small project related to their area of interest.
  • Farewell meeting and distribution of Certificates of Completion.

Supervision & Mentorship

Each intern will be paired with a mentor who will guide them through their internship experience, provide feedback, and support their career development.

Evaluation & Certification:

  • Interns will receive feedback based on participation, professionalism, and learning outcomes.
  • Upon successful completion, interns will receive a Certificate of Completion and a letter of recommendation (if requested).
